As per SEBI regulations, the minimum investment for PMS is ₹50 lakh

PMS investors pay capital gains tax individually:

  • Short-term (less than 1 year): 15%
  • Long-term (above 1 year): 10% for equities (above ₹1 lakh gains)

Most PMS providers allow partial withdrawals, subject to maintaining the ₹50 lakh minimum.

Your investments are held separately in a Demat account under your name, so they remain safe even if the PMS provider ceases operations.

Most PMS schemes have a 3-year investment horizon, but some allow early exits with penalties.
